Overview
The EBX-2163 is the DCM (door / window control module) in the EBX family's shared 125 × 123.9 mm cab-side controller platform. The platform groups three controllers on the same housing / mounting footprint / four-fold safety protection silicon stack, with the connector configuration and the firmware function-block selecting the module's purpose:
- EBX-2162 — WCM (wiper control). 30-pin Tyco connector pair, wiper / washer / LIN output / steering-wheel multi-function pass-through.
- EBX-2163 — this module — DCM (door / window / mirror / lock control). 44-pin TE connector pair, window drive + mirror adjust & heat + central-locking + RKE remote with key learning + external RF antenna input.
- EBX-2164 — LCM (lighting control). 50-pin TE connector pair, full vehicle lighting + trailer-light detection + ADAS-input pass-through.
For a commercial-vehicle program that wants to standardise the cab-side controllers on one housing / one mounting footprint / one toolchain, the platform approach lets the program order any combination of WCM / DCM / LCM and have them install on the same bracket with the same fixings.
Integrated functions (4 main groups)
1. Main & passenger window drive
Up / down drive on the main-side window and the passenger-side window. Both driver-side switch inputs (4 channels: main-up / main-down / passenger-up / passenger-down) and master-side cross-control (master switch can lift / lower the passenger-side window).
2. Mirror adjust + mirror heat
Four-axis mirror adjust (up / down / left / right) on both the left and the right mirror, with mirror-selector switching (left / right select input) so a single 4-axis joystick switch can address both mirrors. Mirror heat drive (one shared mirror-heat output channel) for cold-weather defog / de-ice.
3. Central locking with mechanical-key + RKE remote + key learning
Central lock / unlock drive on both doors, with the multi-source command set: mechanical-key (from the lock barrel feedback), RKE remote (from the smart-key fob via the external RF antenna), central-lock dashboard switch, and the door-lock feedback loop. Key-learning function lets the program pair a new RKE fob without an external tool — per the programme's key-management policy.
4. Network function (1 × CAN @ 250 kbps + LIN reserved)
1 × high-speed CAN bus @ 250 kbps to the body backbone (CAN protocol confirmed per program; J1939 family typical for 24 V commercial-vehicle programs). The DCM publishes the door-state / lock-state / window-state to the backbone and subscribes to the central-lock command and the cabin-state messages. 1 × LIN port is reserved on the standard build for downstream LIN-side accessories.
Engineering details
The EBX-2163 sits on the shared 125 × 123.9 × 28.6 mm platform housing — same dimensions / same mounting features as the EBX-2162 WCM and the EBX-2164 LCM. The connector configuration is different (44-pin TE pair instead of the WCM's 30-pin Tyco pair), but the mounting footprint and the housing tooling are shared.
- Four-fold safety protection — over-voltage, over-current, short-circuit and over-temperature protection on each high-current drive channel; particularly important on the window-motor and lock-motor drives where stall current and jam-detect are routine events
- External RF antenna input on the 24-pin connector — lets the OEM route the RKE receive antenna up to the dashboard or A-pillar (where the LOS to the fob is best) without forcing the DCM itself to be mounted in a specific position
- 44-pin TE dual-connector — harness designer lands the high-current drive side on the 20-pin output connector and the input / sensor / RF / CAN side on the 24-pin input connector; clean separation between the high-current and the signal sides at the harness end
- Two power-supply rails on the drive side: one rail powers the window-motor and the lock-motor drive (pin 10 on the 20-pin output connector), the other powers the mirror-adjust and HSD-reserved outputs (pin 20) — lets the integrator size and protect the two rails independently
- Mirror-selector pattern: the 24-pin input connector carries dedicated left-mirror-select and right-mirror-select inputs, so a single 4-axis joystick switch addresses both mirrors via switch-side selection (saves harness pins vs. running 4-axis switches per mirror)
- Key-learning function on the standard build — the program can pair a new RKE fob via the controller's learning sequence without needing an external diagnostic tool
- Free-orientation mounting on the shared platform housing
- IP53 sealing class suitable for in-cab installation

Comparison with other Youlai window / door modules
| Model | System | Pattern | Mirror | RKE |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EBX-2163 | 24 V (18–32 VDC) | Platform DCM | Yes (4-axis + heat) | Yes (external antenna + key learning) |
| EBX-2315 | 24 V (18–32 VDC) | Dedicated single-housing window + mirror + lock | Yes | No (no RF receive on board) |
| EBX-2206 | 12 V (9–16 VDC) | Anti-pinch window only (self-learning) | No | RKE remote up-down via BCM |
The EBX-2163 is the right choice for a 24 V commercial-vehicle program that wants the window / mirror / central-lock function group on the shared cab-side controller platform with RKE smart-key receive on board — particularly when the program standardises the WCM (EBX-2162) and the LCM (EBX-2164) on the same housing and bracket. For a 24 V dedicated single-housing window + mirror + central-lock without RF receive on board, look at EBX-2315.
Manufacturing & testing
Built under IATF 16949 with APQP project planning and a PPAP package available for OEM programmes. Every unit is end-of-line functional-tested before packaging — the main / passenger window drive on both up and down, the 4-axis mirror-adjust drive on both mirrors with the mirror-selector input, the mirror-heat drive, the central-lock / unlock drive with the door-state feedback loop, the external RF antenna input on the receive side with a paired RKE fob, the key-learning sequence, the 250 kbps CAN bus health and the four-fold safety-protection envelope (over-voltage / over-current / short-circuit / over-temperature trip and recovery) are all checked.
How to ask
The EBX-2163 belongs to the Smart Control Modules family. To request the harness drawing, the per-pin allocation map, the RKE pairing toolchain, the key-management policy, the CAN message catalogue or a PPAP package, please use the contact page with your target vehicle programme, expected annual volume and key technical requirements (window motor model, mirror actuator model, RKE / smart-key fob standard, CAN baud / protocol, IP rating, connector preference). Drawings welcome.
