Overview
The NBX‑968 is a configurable sealed electrical box for chassis-mount and outdoor applications. The interior layout is quoted per program — fuse modules, relay modules, terminal blocks or any combination thereof — inside an IP65-sealed automotive-grade enclosure.
Engineering details
Electrical: 9–32 VDC, −40 to +85 °C working range, IP65 sealing, sealed connectors and gland exits at the harness side. Mechanical mounting supports chassis-rail placement on heavy trucks and the comparable chassis architecture on machinery.
- Sealed IP65 enclosure for outdoor and chassis-mount placement
- Configurable contents — fuse, relay, terminal block or hybrid
- Sealed connector exits and matched wire-side seals
- Manufactured under the same IATF process as NBX central PDBs
Mechanical layout
Mating connector
The standard NBX-968 build uses a single TE 281810-1 sealed harness connector, called out under the manual's technical-parameter list. Wire-side seals, terminal P/N and pin-out are confirmed against the customer harness drawing at quotation.
Fuse & relay configuration
Standard build, customised on a programme basis:
| # | Component | Spec | Qty |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Main contactor | 200 A (high-current main contactor / solenoid-driven main switch — not an ISO automotive micro-relay) | 3 |
| 2 | Relay | ISO type (30 / 70 A control-side automotive micro-relay) | 4 |
| 3 | Fuse | Flat-blade MAXI | 5 |
| 4 | Fuse | Flat-blade MIDI | 6 |
| 5 | Fuse | ATO/ATC blade | 12 |
| 6 | Function customisation | Per circuit-diagram changes | — |
Note: the 200 A entries are high-current main contactors (or solenoid-driven main switches) for master-switch / pre-heat duty, not ISO automotive micro-relays. The "ISO type" entries are the standard 30 / 70 A automotive micro-relays used for control-side switching. Exact part numbers are quoted against the programme BOM.
Built-in load functions
Programme-specific load mix — the NBX-968 reference build covers the following 8 engine/start-system functions, sized for sealed engine-bay installation:
- Master-switch control
- Pre-heat control
- Starting control
- Battery protection
- Alternator protection
- Start cut-off control
- Engine excitation protection
- Engine charging protection
Manufacturing & testing
Manufactured under IATF 16949. IP testing follows IEC 60529 in our in-house environmental lab.
Related models & how to ask
If the program needs immersion-grade IP67, choose the NBX‑971 instead. For excavator-class duty cycles, the NBX‑961 excavator integrated box is the right platform. For a chassis-rail distribution box with a defined chassis-side power-management function set at the same IP65 sealing, see the NBX‑969 chassis distribution box. If the point only needs passive terminal joining with no fuses or relays inside, step down to the cabin-grade NBX‑965 sealed junction box or the open-style NBX‑966 junction terminal block.
