Displays & HUD Selector

Compare Youlai PBX digital instrument clusters and head-up displays side by side. Filter by display type, then open the right model page or send an RFQ.

Compare displays HUD vs digital cluster?

How to use this selector

The Displays & HUD line splits into two families that solve the driver-information problem in different ways:

  1. Digital instrument clusters — the primary in-dash screen that replaces analogue gauges (speed, warnings, EV status, camera views).
  2. Head-up displays (HUD) — project key information into the driver's line of sight, either on a fold-up combiner (C-HUD) or onto the windscreen (W-HUD).

Filter by type, then open the model page for full specs. Not sure which approach fits? Read the HUD vs digital cluster guide.

PBX displays are built to order under one IATF 16949 quality system, tuned to your programme and cab geometry.

Reference specs, not a datasheet — confirm the exact configuration for your programme in an RFQ.

Reference builds only; final optics, brightness, camera inputs and connector details are set by cab layout.

Common questions

Digital cluster or HUD — which should I choose first?

Choose the digital cluster first when it is the primary driver display and warning interface. Add a HUD when the programme needs key speed, navigation or ADAS information in the driver's forward line of sight.

Combiner HUD or windshield HUD — which fits more programmes?

A combiner HUD is easier to adapt across different windscreen rakes and is usually the simpler entry point. A windshield HUD gives a larger, more integrated virtual image but needs tighter cab-geometry validation.

Can one PBX display cover both 12 V and 24 V platforms?

PBX-2202 and PBX-2203 cover 9-32 VDC. PBX-2301 is specified for a 24 V commercial-vehicle bus while still accepting 9-32 VDC, and PBX-961 targets 18-32 VDC 24 V systems.

What do you need to quote a display or HUD?

Vehicle and cab type, system voltage, cluster or HUD target, screen or virtual-image size, CAN messages, camera inputs, connector preference, annual volume and target SOP date.
