Overview

The TDK-2513 and TDK-2514 are two small cab switches used on the dashboard and cab panel of commercial vehicles, construction machinery and new-energy platforms. Both run on a 24 V system and hold a −40 to +85 °C working range. The TDK-2513 is a self-reset (momentary) button — you press it, it signals the vehicle, and it springs back; the TDK-2514’s switching action is confirmed per programme. They are presented together as cab discrete-switch line items, but they are two distinct parts with different sealing, endurance and connectors.

The TDK-2513 is the round, red-backlit button with a printed graphic on the cap. The TDK-2514 is the compact threaded-body pre-ignition switch that mounts through the panel on a flying lead. Choose by the job: a lit dashboard button versus a sealed threaded switch on a compact panel-through body.

TDK-2513 — illuminated round self-reset button

The TDK-2513 is a round push button with a red backlight that is steady-on whenever the button is powered, so the control is easy to find at night. It is a self-reset (momentary) button: it closes while pressed and springs back on release, reporting a press to the vehicle rather than latching. The press is defined — a 6 ± 2 N key force over a travel of more than 2.5 mm — and it is rated for a long service life of over 1,000,000 operations. It switches up to a 500 mA load, is sealed to IP5K2, and carries the RoHS and UL94-HB flammability ratings. Youlai lists it for new-energy vehicles, commercial vehicles and construction / engineering machinery.

TDK-2514 — threaded pre-ignition switch

The TDK-2514 “pre-ignition switch” is a compact threaded-body switch on a flying lead. It runs on 18–32 VDC (24 V rated), is sealed to IP57, and is rated for 30,000 operations. It is built to an insulation standard — under a 550 V, 50 Hz sinusoidal test the insulation between conductive parts does not break down and the insulation resistance stays ≥ 10 MΩ — and meets UL94 flammability (burn rate ≤ 100 mm/min) and the Chinese automotive banned-substance standard GB/T 30512-2014 (China ELV / RoHS-equivalent). The cap is a black, fine-matte-textured plastic. Its two leads are brought out on a Molex 43645-0300 connector (pinout below); its switching action is confirmed per programme.

The TDK-2514 brings its two leads out on a Molex 43645-0300 3-way connector — a red and a black 0.5 mm² lead land on base terminals A and B, and the third position (C) is unused and capped with Ø4 heat-shrink. The source drawing shows terminals A and B bridged by a 30 mm link on the switch base, so treat A and B as one switched pair rather than two independent terminals; the exact make/break behaviour and final assignment are confirmed at RFQ.

The TDK-2513 switches up to a 500 mA load, which suits a controller or lamp input rather than a starter or relay coil directly — for a higher load, tell us the current and we confirm the part rating or propose a relay-driven arrangement. Sealing, feel & durability

Because a cab switch is pressed on almost every trip, both parts are specified for service life and environment. The TDK-2513 is rated for > 1,000,000 operations with a defined 6 ± 2 N press and > 2.5 mm travel, sealed to IP5K2 against dust and light water. The TDK-2514 is rated for 30,000 operations and sealed to IP57 — a higher water-immersion protection level suited to a more exposed threaded-through mounting. Both hold a −40 to +85 °C working range and are flame-rated to UL94.

Mounting & dimensions

The TDK-2513 is a round panel button — the button body is about Ø21.4 mm, the front bezel about Ø28.7 mm and the overall height about 39.2 mm. Its mounting drawing calls for a keyed Ø26 mm panel opening (with anti-rotation notches, about Ø30 mm across the key tab) dimensioned for a 3 mm panel; confirm the exact cutout against the current drawing. The TDK-2514 is a threaded-body part: overall length about 58.7 mm, body diameter Ø17.9 mm, a square 18.3 × 18.3 mm flange with Ø3 mm corner holes, internal threads to 5/8-24 and 9/16-24 UNEF-2A, and a 100 ± 10 mm flying lead. The TDK-2514 socket is fixed to the instrument panel with four pan-head self-tapping screws at a recommended tightening torque of 30 N·cm.

Built under IATF 16949 with APQP project planning and a PPAP package available for OEM programmes. End-of-line testing follows the programme’s control plan — typically switch continuity, actuation and, on the TDK-2513, illumination — while endurance, temperature soak, sealing and the TDK-2514 insulation withstand are validated on a sample basis in our in-house lab when a programme calls for fresh qualification.
