Overview
The EBX-2510 is the EBX family's configurable-AI body control module — a 24 V BCM engineered for construction-machinery and specialty commercial-vehicle programs that mix vehicle-grade actuators with industrial-grade sensors. Where the EBX-2160 targets a J1939 / OSEK commercial-vehicle network and the EBX-953 targets a commercial-vehicle BCM-with-PDB use case, the EBX-2510 is the right tier when the program needs software-configurable analog input channels (voltage / current / resistance per channel, selected at programme kick-off without a hardware spin) and a protected output bank with built-in fault diagnostics.
Electrically the module operates across a wide 18–36 VDC range with reverse-polarity protection on the main feed. The output bank is dimensioned for a typical cab-electronics load mix: twelve 3 A channels for body actuators (lamps, locks, fans, valves) and ten 10 A channels for heavier loads (window motors, HVAC blower, hydraulic valves, lift relays), all with short-circuit protection and open / short fault diagnostics that the controller exposes over CAN. A regulated 5 V sensor rail feeds the analog inputs (and any program-specific external sensors). The communication backbone is a single independent CAN 2.0B bus, baud rate configurable from 50 Kbit/s to 1 Mbit/s, with the 120 Ω terminating resistor selectable via hardware jumper at the production line.
Integrated functions
The EBX-2510 services the body-electronics and sensor-acquisition function groups typical of a construction-machinery cab or a specialty commercial-vehicle platform:
- Sensor acquisition (configurable). Eight analog inputs, per-channel selectable as 0–5 V voltage / 4–20 mA current loop / 0–500 Ω resistance — covers fuel-level senders, pressure / temperature transmitters, throttle / joystick potentiometers and resistive sensors on the same unit.
- Frequency & pulse acquisition. One 0–10 kHz frequency input for engine RPM, ground-speed pulse, hall-effect sensors and similar.
- Switch acquisition. Thirteen digital inputs (11 high-active + 2 low-active) for door / hood / ignition / brake / hydraulic-interlock / start-enable signal taps.
- Actuator drive with diagnostics. Twenty-three protected digital outputs — 12 channels at 3 A for lamp / valve / status loads, 10 channels at 10 A for blower / window / lift / hydraulic-valve loads, plus 1 channel at 3 A wired as a delay-output (e.g. after-run pump cycle). All channels carry short-circuit protection plus open / short fault diagnostics surfaced to the application software.
- Power routing. Eight main relays plus a thirty-nine-position blade-fuse bank route the high-current loads through the integrated carrier; no separate power distribution box required on the harness.
- Sensor power. Regulated 5 V supply rail for external sensor excitation.
- Vehicle network. One independent CAN 2.0B bus, baud rate configurable 50 Kbit/s – 1 Mbit/s; 120 Ω terminator selectable via hardware jumper for end-of-bus deployments.
Engineering details
The EBX-2510 occupies a 295.1 × 160.3 mm footprint — the largest in the EBX BCM family — with a 14.5 mm base and a 75 mm overall height over the connector profiles. The harness interface is six sealed connector positions, three on the top edge and three on the bottom edge, so the harness designer can land the input side and the output side on opposite faces of the housing.
- Wide-range supply: 18–36 VDC with reverse-polarity protection on the main feed — suitable for 24 V commercial-vehicle and 24 V construction-machinery cabs where the bus voltage can swing during cranking and load-dump
- Software-configurable AI: per-channel voltage / current / resistance selection — the same hardware ships in multiple program variants without a board spin
- Protected output bank: every digital output carries short-circuit cut-off; open-load and short-to-ground / short-to-supply fault states are surfaced to the application software for cab-side diagnostics
- Heavy-load capacity: 10 × 10 A channels for HVAC blowers, window-lift motors, hydraulic-valve solenoids and lift-relay coils
- Delay output: 1 × 3 A channel wired as a configurable delay-off output (e.g. after-run cooling pump, courtesy lamp time-out)
- CAN flexibility: independent CAN 2.0B with baud rate set in software (50 Kbit/s – 1 Mbit/s) plus a hardware-jumper 120 Ω terminator for end-of-bus deployments
- Cosmetic build: no shrinkage / scratching / mottle defects on the housing; free-tolerance dimensions follow GB/T 1804-2000 MT5 (medium-tolerance class)
- IP20 sealing — cab-mounted / indoor enclosure class only; specify a sealed-connector chassis-mounted variant at quotation if the program requires outdoor IP65 / IP67 placement

Comparison with other Youlai BCM / CPD modules
The EBX BCM / CPD family covers two main voltage classes (12 V and 24 V) and several architectural patterns. The EBX-2510 is the configurable-AI tier with integrated fuse / relay carrier:
| Model | System | Pattern | Network | Footprint & sealing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EBX-2510 | 24 V (18–36 VDC) | BCM + fuse/relay, configurable AI (V / mA / Ω) | 1 × CAN 2.0B (50K–1M) | 295.1 × 160.3 mm, IP20 |
| EBX-2160 | 24 V (16–32 VDC) | CPD: BCM + fuse/relay, J1939 + OSEK + UDS | CAN + LIN, J1939 / OSEK / UDS | ~330 × 200 mm, IP53 |
| EBX-953 | 24 V (18–32 VDC) | BCM + fuse/relay (heavy truck) | 3 CAN + 1 LIN (private) | 285.8 × 159.8 mm, IP53 |
| EBX-954 | 24 V (18–32 VDC) | Pure-logic BCM (high I/O density) | 3 CAN + 1 LIN, ISO 15765 | 193.6 × 157.8 mm, IP54 |
The EBX-2510 is the right choice when the program needs software-configurable analog inputs (mix of voltage / current-loop / resistive sensors on the same unit) plus the integrated fuse / relay carrier on a CAN 2.0B architecture. For a J1939 / OSEK commercial-vehicle network with the largest integrated carrier, look at EBX-2160; for a heavy-truck BCM-with-PDB on a private CAN architecture, look at EBX-953.
Manufacturing & testing
Built under IATF 16949 with APQP project planning and a PPAP package available for OEM programmes. Every unit is end-of-line functional-tested before packaging — CAN 2.0B bus health at the program-selected baud rate, the eight configurable AI channels tested across all three modes (V / mA / Ω), the frequency-input pulse response, the digital input / output matrix (with the short-circuit and open-load diagnostic codes verified), the 5 V sensor rail and each integrated fuse / relay position. Environmental validation and EMC pre-compliance screening in our in-house lab is run when the programme requires it.
How to ask
The EBX-2510 belongs to the Smart Control Modules family. To request the harness drawing, the per-channel AI configuration table, the CAN baud-rate & DBC reference or a PPAP package, please use the contact page with your target vehicle / machine programme, expected annual volume and key technical requirements (target voltage class, sensor mix V / mA / Ω per channel, CAN baud rate, output current per channel, IP rating, working temperature, connector preference). Drawings welcome.
