How to use this selector

Smart control modules do very different jobs, so this table is a selector for shortlisting by role, not a like-for-like ranking:

  1. Filter by function — the job the module does on the vehicle (body control, powertrain, power management, telematics, keyless entry, a single body function, or sensing / alerts).
  2. Filter by voltage system — 12 V, 24 V, wide-range (covers both) or a high-voltage traction input for the power-conversion modules.

EBX modules are built to order under one IATF 16949 quality system, with CAN 2.0 / CAN-FD / LIN / J1939 / UDS matched per programme.

Common questions

BCM, VCU or PMU — which module type do I need?

A BCM owns body electronics such as lighting, doors, windows and wipers; a VCU owns drivetrain and energy-management control; a PMU combines smart logic with power-distribution or auxiliary power management. If the boundary is unclear, start with the BCM vs VCU vs PMU guide and send the vehicle architecture with your RFQ.

Should I filter by function or voltage first?

Start with function, because the module role decides the architecture. Then use the voltage filter to narrow to 12 V, 24 V, wide-range or high-voltage power-conversion modules.

Why are some EBX modules not directly comparable?

The EBX family includes very different products: BCMs, VCUs, DC-DC converters, T-BOX telematics, PEPS modules, wiper controllers and TPMS receivers. The table is a selector for shortlisting by role, not a like-for-like ranking across unrelated functions.

What do you need to quote the right EBX module?

Vehicle platform, system voltage, control function, I/O count, CAN / CAN-FD / LIN / J1939 / UDS requirements, connector preference, annual volume and target SOP date. The RFQ checklist walks through the details.
